Feel the Bliss: Yoga with Reiki with Vanessa Bonet

Join Vanessa Bonet, RYT-200 and Advanced Reiki Practitioner for some yoga and Reiki every Monday.

 

Enjoy a blissful class that never leaves the floor, while focusing on strengthening and stretching all areas of the body. Nourish the inner self with this relaxing class infused with the healing power of Reiki!.

The first portion of the class will include stretches that will help release stress and tension from joints and muscles. Last portion of the class will incorporate restorative poses as you receive hands-on Reiki. Let your body rest easy with the use of props to support the postures creating the space and intention to let this energy flow.

***Participants should be able to get down to the floor and up unassisted***

When: Mondays, 5:30 pm-6:30 pm.

Cost: $12 to drop-in. Discount packages available. Payment can be made at class time via cash, check, or card.

Chair Yoga: A 5-Week Session with Melissa Powell

Join Melissa Powell, RYT 200, for an hour of Chair Yoga! We'll explore movement and breathwork that can be done while seated in a chair. Standing poses will be optional.

This class is appropriate for people who'd like a gentler class, one that is easier on knees and shoulders, and for people who'd like some ideas for movement and breathwork that they can do at their desk at work.

When: Wednesdays, 10 - 11 a.m.,  March 25 - April 22

Cost: Free.

Yoga 4 U with Melissa Powell

Yoga 4 U is a beginner-friendly class that celebrates the body that meets you on the mat. We will explore how yoga can benefit the body by improving strength, flexibility, and balance and the mind by improving nervous system resilience.

During these 5 weeks, we will focus particularly how a yoga practice can help us navigate life during a pandemic.

When: Thursdays, 9:30 - 10:45 a.m., March 26 - April 23

Restorative Yoga & Tea with Vanessa Bonet

Join Vanessa Bonet, RYT-200 Yoga Instructor and Advanced Reiki Practitioner, for 75 minutes of a soothing, relaxing monthly restorative yoga class.

Every second Saturday of the month, the class will begin with a sample of a warming tea from the Green Heart Awakening store. Then, we’ll spend an hour of pure relaxation in a restorative yoga practice augmented by yoga props like blankets, blocks, and bolsters as well as sandbags. The sandbags are similar to a weighted blanket and encourage the body to produce a relaxation response, releasing accumulated stress, tension and anxiety.

When: 2nd Saturday of every month, 11:30am-12:45pm
April 11, May 9

Cost: $15 drop-in rate (or $25 for two 75-minute classes)

Journey to Joy: A Yoga Nidra Experience with Vanessa Bonet

This class, held on fourth Saturdays, will begin with movements (some may be more vigorous and revitalizing) to release any repressed energy before settling into stillness. During the first 30 minutes of the class, we will be transitioning between yoga poses that focus on legs, hips, and spine. After our movement practice, we will enter into a Yoga Nidra experience that will range between 35 to 45 minutes. Class will end with one or two restorative yoga poses.

Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation that involves breath awareness and body sensing along with intention setting. The goal of Yoga Nidra is to unearth the blockages (Samskaras) that exist as matter, energy, and thought that may prevent the flow of prana (life force) throughout the body.

Vanessa is an RYT-200 Yoga Instructor and is Yoga Nidra Certified and an Advanced Reiki Practitioner. She will lead you on a journey in which you can deeply connect and release unwanted energies, bringing clarity and compassion to the self.

***Participants should be able to get down to the floor and up unassisted. Although Yoga Nidra is not confined to one specific position, it is generally practiced in a supine pose such as Savasana (lying on your back) with the optional use of props to create an ideal relaxation state. ***

When: 4th Saturday of every month, 11:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.
