From yoga to cooking to meditation to sound healing, we've got something for you! Each class is assigned a credit value, noted in the description. For an explanation of the credit system and costs, visit the Pricing page.

Please understand that some classes and courses require extra preparation time. Those classes and courses will not run if minimum registrations are not met by the deadlines. Credits cannot be refunded if the participant cancels their registration for these events after the deadline has passed.

Yoga for Any Body

Move and breathe at your own pace.

 

Bodies of all shapes, sizes, and abilities welcome. Appropriate for beginners. Class begins on the floor, includes standing poses and movements in the middle, and returns to the floor at the end of class. The focus is on stress relief and soothing the nervous system.

 

Chairs available for those who'd rather not sit, kneel, or lie down on the floor.

 

WHEN:

Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 10 - 11:15 a.m.

Mondays, 5:30 - 6:45 p.m.

COST: 3 credits per class

REGISTRATION & CANCELLATION POLICY: Registration not required but appreciated. Cancellation allowed up to 15 minutes prior to class.

THE 5:30 P.M. MONDAY CLASSES BEGIN IN FEBRUARY.

Intro to Meditation 4-Week Course

This 4-week course is a great way to test the waters of meditation and settle into stillness. Each class will include discussion and guidance, meditation time, and journaling. Please bring a journal to class. 

Week 1: Using your breath to focus on calm and awareness of self we will explore why meditation is beneficial for the body and mind.

Week 2: Exploring breath techniques to maintain focus and allow for a deeper meditation.

Week 3: Exploring movement and breath to enter meditation.

Week 4: Working with the practice of compassion (metta) meditation to bring a deeper sense of calm for yourself and others. 

WHEN: Wednesdays in February, 7-8 p.m.

COST: 12 credits for the 4-class course

REGISTRATION & CANCELLATION POLICY: Minimum registration has been met! You may register up until the first day of the course.

Once registered, participant may cancel registration until January 27. If participant cancels registration after January 27, all 12 credits will be used toward the course. 

Sound Healing Meditation

Each session begins with a guided meditation in which you are given the space to set your intention for the next hour.  During our time you will experience sounds and vibrations from voice, stringed instruments, chimes, steel tongue drum, nature sounds, and singing bowls.

 

You'll be able to rest in any position you find comfortable (sitting or lying down). Then, just be still and connect to the vibrations, rhythms, and harmonic and melodic sounds. 

 

WHEN: Sundays, 6-7 p.m.

COST: 4 credits per class

REGISTRATION & CANCELLATION POLICY: Registration not required but appreciated. Cancellation allowed up to 15 minutes prior to class.

Vinyasa Flow and Quick Flow Yoga

An active, all-level vinyasa flow yoga class with emphasis on connecting breath with movement, encompassing sun salutations and warrior sequences.  You may sweat a bit!  A basic knowledge of yoga is helpful.

**Non-heated. Room temperature will be set at a comfortable 68-72 degrees Fahrenheit. Your body's movement will supply the necessary heat to break a sweat.**

WHEN:

Vinyasa Flow, 60 minutes, Tuesdays, 6-7 p.m.

Quick Flow, 45 minutes, Thursdays, 5:45-6:30 p.m.

COST: 3 credits per class

BEGINS IN FEBRUARY

Guided Meditation Class

In this class, designed for the beginning and advanced practitioner alike, we learn the benefits of meditation and to use the breath as a tool towards relaxation and stress reduction. We will further explore how to be mindful in our daily lives to maintain a feeling and sense of equilibrium in stressful situations. We will sit for about 20 - 25 minutes. See you on the cushion!

WHEN: Saturdays, 8:15 - 8:45 a.m. AND beginning March 1, Wednesdays, 7-7:30 p.m.

Plant-Based Cooking Classes

Twice per month, on 1st and 3rd Thursdays, Shannon offers a plant-based cooking class on a different topic each time.

 

Thursday Feb 16th

Plant-Based Cooking: Homemade Dairy-Free Cheese

In this class, you will make a cashew sour cream that can be used as a base for other dips and sauces; a nacho cheese dip and a tofu ricotta.

Thursday March 2nd

Plant-Based Cooking: Homemade Tofu

In this class, you will make your own tofu from scratch. Using organic soybeans we will walk through the process of creating, pressing, and storing tofu at home.

Plant-Based Cooking: Freezer Fix! Vegan Wontons and Empanadas

We’ll be making (and sampling) two fun plant-based meal helpers that you can make ahead and keep in your freezer for nights you really need them. Frozen wontons can be fried, steamed, or added to soup. Empanadas can be re-heated by baking or frying. Both keep for months in the freezer. 

WHEN: 1st and 3rd Thursdays, 7-8:30 p.m.

COST: 8 credits per class

REGISTRATION & CANCELLATION POLICY: Minimum registration must be met 5 days prior to each class, or the class will be canceled. Once registered, participant may cancel registration until 5 days prior to the class. If participant cancels registration after the 5-day cutoff, all 8 credits will be used toward the class.
